Pranahitha-Chevella Lift Irrigation Scheme, Andhra Pradesh
The Pranahitha-Chevella Lift Irrigation Scheme is envisaged to irrigate an ayacut of 12,20,000 acres in drought prone areas of Adilabad, Karimnagar, Medak, Warangal, Nizamabad, Nalgonda and Ranga Reddy districts of Telangana Region. It also aims to provide drinking water facilities to the villages in the vicinity and also to Hyderabad Metropolitan Board, duly diverting about 160 TMC of surplus waters from Pranahitha River by constructing a barrage across the river Pranahitha near Tummidihetti village in Adilabad district. All the Projects are under EPC Turnkey System.
PCLIS Package-2
Maytas Infra has secured the Pranahitha-Chevella Package-2 project from Government of A.P. for detailed investigation, preparation of designs, drawings, estimates, land plan schedules and excavation of gravity canal including FE, construction of sluices, cross masonry and cross drainage works Lining etc., complete maintenance for the reach from Km. 15.00 to Km 28.50 (Kajralli to Suragapally) which is taking off from the right flank of the proposed barrage A/c River Pranahitha near Tummidi Hetti village, Koutala mandal, Adilabad district (Package No. II). The value of the project which is in joint venture with NCC is Rs. 215.47 crores and Maytas
Infra’s share is 50%.
PCLIS, Package-5
Maytas Infra has bagged the Pranahitha-Chevella Lift Irrigation Scheme, Package-5, and the value of the Project is Rs. 3627.11 crores. Bid submitted for this project is in joint venture with Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd., Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) and Andritz. Maytas Infra’s share of participation is 15%.
PCLIS, Package-7
Maytas Infra has secured the Pranahitha-Chevella Lift Irrigation Scheme, Package-7 project, and the value of the project is Rs. 2119.09 crores. Bid submitted for this project is in joint venture with Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd., Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) and Andritz. Maytas Infra is the Lead Partner and its share of participation is 65%. The project involves executing all the civil works comprising Gravity Canal of about 3.50 Km length and Tunnel for a length of 11.50 Km, Pump House and Surge Pool.
PCLIS Package-8
Maytas Infra formed a Consortium with public sector giant Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, Mega Engineering Infrastructure Ltd (MEIL) and SEW Infrastructure Ltd to bag the second largest order in the history of A.P Irrigation domain which is worth Rs. 3271.09 crores. The share of Maytas Infra is 20%, which amounts to Rs. 654.22 crores.
Udayasamudram Lift Irrigation Scheme
Maytas Infra has secured the Udayasamudram Lift Irrigation Scheme. The formal agreement for construction of this Scheme was concluded with Irrigation & CAD Department, A.P on 8th of August 2008. Bid submitted for this project is in joint venture with Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd., Hyderabad, and Kirloskar Brothers Ltd., Pune. Maytas Infra is the Lead Partner in this project.
The value of the Project is Rs 561.96 crores in which Maytas Infra’s share is Rs. 330.618 crores. This Project is intended to provide irrigation facilities to 1,00,000 acres of ayacut, apart from providing safe drinking water to the enroute villagers facing persistent fluoride problem due to contaminated ground water.
The project involves executing all the civil works, comprising Gravity Canals including distributary system to irrigate an ayacut of 1,00,000 acres, Tunnel for a length of 10 Km, and 4 Nos. Balancing Reservoirs.
AVR HNSS Project, Phase-II
The Irrigation sector bagged an order worth Rs. 933.77 crores from I & CAD Department, A.P. in joint venture with Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd., Hyderabad and Kirloskar Brothers Ltd., Pune. Maytas Infra’s share of participation is 20%.
The project is awarded on an EPC turnkey basis. The project is basically a Lift Irrigation Scheme and the main components to be executed under the project are:
1. Construction of 35 No. pumping stations on distributary canal and 3 No. pumping stations on main canal of AVR HNSS Project, Phase-II in Chittoor and Ananthapur districts of A.P.
2. Supply, Erection and Testing of Pumps of suitable capacity
3. Gravity Canal for a length of about 7.00 Km along with distributary system to irrigate an ayacut of 10,000 acres in Chittoor district of A.P.
4. Maintenance of Entire scheme for 15 years from date of completion.
YCPR Korisapadu LI Scheme
Maytas Infra won a Lift Irrigation work of value Rs. 138.22 crores from I & CAD, Dept., A.P. in joint venture with M/S Flow More Pumps Ltd. and Koya & Company Ltd.
The Project was awarded on an EPC turnkey basis. Maytas Infra is the Lead Partner, and its share of participation is 70%. The major components to be executed are:
1. Lifting of water from foreshore of Gundlakamma Reservoir by constructing pumping station, supply, erection and testing of pumps and motors of suitable capacity.
2. Construction of 2 No. online balancing reservoirs.
3. Formation of Distributary Network to irrigate an ayacut of 20,000 acres by Micro Irrigation System in Korisapadu & N.G. Padu mandals of Ongole district, A.P.
Annampalli Aqueduct
Construction of New Annampalli Aqueduct across Vrudha Gowthami River has been awarded to Maytas Infra by I & CAD, Dept., Government of A.P. The value of project is Rs. 23.81 crores.
Dummugudem – NSP Tail Pond, Package-1
Maytas Infra has been awarded the Dummugudem – NSP Tail Pond, Package-1 and the value of the Project is Rs. 1198.12 crores. Bid submitted for this project is in joint venture with Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd., Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) and Andritz. Maytas Infra’s share of participation is 30%.
Dummugudem – NSP Tail Pond, Package-4
Maytas Infra has won the Dummugudem – NSP Tail Pond, Package-4 project and the value of the Project is Rs. 883.84 crores. Bid submitted for this project is in joint venture with Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd., Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) and Andritz. Maytas Infra is the Lead Partner, and its share of participation is 50%.
Pogonda Reservoir
Maytas Infra has won the Pogonda Reservoir project, and the value of the Project is Rs. 16.84 crores. The project involves construction of Earthen Dam and Surplus Weir.
Bhupathipalem Project
Maytas Infra has been awarded the Bhupathipalem project by Superintending Engineer, ISLMC Circle, Tuni for formation of Earth Dam across Sitapalli Vagu including Construction of Spillway Regulator, Construction of Head Sluice for Bhupathipalem Reservoir near Bhupathipalem (V) Rampachodavaram (M) East Godavari Dist. The value of the project is Rs. 85.39 crores.
SRBC Main Canal from Km 25.067 to Km 56.775
Maytas Infra in joint venture with NCC bagged the SRBC Main Canal Package No.26/06 project from SE, SRBC Circle No.1 Nandyal A.P. for Investigation, Design and Execution of widening of SRBC Main Canal from Km 25.067 to Km 56.775 and construction of additional structures/ improvements and alterations to CM & CD works including all other allied works. The value of the project is Rs. 257.85 crores, and Maytas Infra’s share is 50%.
Nagarjuna Sagar Tail Pond Dam
Maytas Infra has won the contract from Superintending Engineer N.S. Tail Pond Dam Circle Macherla for Construction of Dam consisting of left non-overflow section, spillway section, power dam, right non-overflow section including trash rack structures, intake pool, intake structures, road bridge encasement of penstock ferrules with RCC for power house, sluices etc. at 21.065 KM downstream of Nagarjuna Sagar Dam across river Krishna near Satrasala (V) of Guntur district and Damaracherla village of Nalgonda district in A.P. The value of the project which is in joint venture with SNC is Rs. 86.61 crores, and Maytas Infra’s share is 45%.
GNSS Flood Flow Canal
Maytas Infra in joint venture with NCC has secured Package No.29/06 project for Investigation, Design and Excavation of GNSS Flood Flow Canal (Gorakallu Reservoir to Owk Reservoir) for the reach from Km 46.00 to Km 57.700 including construction of CM & CD works enroute in Kurnool district in A.P. state. The client is SE, SRBC Circle No.2 Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh. The value of the project is Rs. 171.63 crores, and Maytas Infra’s share is 50%.
GNSS Main Canal ( Package No 10) Mallemadugu Reservoir
Maytas Infra in joint venture with NCC has bagged Investigation, Design, and Earthwork excavation of GNSS Main Canal Package No.10/06 project from Km 0.00 to km 65.50 including construction of CM & CD works, distributory systems, field channels. The client is SE, GNSS Circle Kadapa Andhra Pradesh. The value of the project is Rs. 195.12 crores, and Maytas Infra’s share is 50%.
Owk Tunnel-II
Maytas Infra has been awarded Package No. 30/06 project for investigation, design, excavation and lining of Owk Tunnel - II on EPC Turn Key Contract by SE, SRBC Circle No.2 Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh. The value of the project which is in joint venture with NCC and ZVS is Rs. 401.12 crores and Maytas Infra’s share is 50%.
SRSP Flood Flow Canal
Maytas Infra has won the project from Government of A.P. for earth work excavation, forming embankment and construction of CM&CD works of SRSP Flood Flow Canal from Km. 86.00 to Km. 103.00 (Package No. 16) in Balwantpur village, Mallial mandal of Karimnagar district in A.P. state. on an EPC Basis. The value of the project which is in joint venture with NCC is Rs. 210.06 crores, and Maytas Infra’s share is 50%.
LI-03 Package
Maytas Infra has bagged the LI-03 Package for investigation, design, supply and erection of necessary lift systems with all electrical and mechanical components, surge protection systems and all control valves for lifting 7.80 TMC in 45 Days from storage reservoir-2 (+234.000 M) near Yellanur village to storage reservoir-3 (+250.00 M) near Goddamvaripalli village including formation of storage reservoir-3 with a capacity of 0.30 TMC and providing distributory system for 3,500 acres of ayacut in Anantapur district. The value of the project which is in joint venture with Kirloskar Brothers Ltd. is Rs. 129.50 crores, and Maytas Infra’s share is 72.5%.
Muchumarru Pump Houses
Maytas Infra has been awarded the Muchumarru Pump Houses project for investigation, design, construction of 3 nos of Pump Houses near Mucchumarru village and about km. 60.00 and km. 40.00 of K.C. Canal including design, manufacture, supply, delivery of pumps and motors including all civil, mechanical, electrical and allied works. The project also includes power supply arrangements to pump houses at km. 60.00 and km. 40.00 of K.C. Canal including construction of 3 nos of regulators across K.C. Canal etc., and complete maintenance of the system for 15 years as per parameters mentioned in the bid schedule. The value of the project which is in joint venture with MEIL and WPIL is Rs. 75.21, crores and Maytas Infra’s share is 25%.
G.N.S.S Package - I
Andhra Pradesh
G.N.S.S Project is a major Irrigation Project intended to provide irrigation facility to 3.25 lakhs acres in the three districts of Kadapa, Chittoor, and Nellore. The project also provides drinking water to a population of 5 lakhs living in 640 villages and towns en route the canal.
The GNSS Package – I consists of the Gandikota Dam & Main Canal with structures from 0 to 24 Km, and an approach channel of 3.275 Km length. The total value of work is 329.75 crores.
The Project envisages the drawal of 38 TMC of surplus flood waters in 45 flood days from the foreshore of Srisailam Reservoir to convey them through Srisailam Right Main Canal from Pothireddypadu, Srisailam Right Branch Canal, proposed Gorakallu Reservoir, Owk Reservoir and proposed Gandikota Reservoir, and other 8 storage reservoirs to provide the aforesaid irrigation and drinking water facilities.
Gandikota Reservoir is located across Pennar river near Mangapatnam Railway Station near Muddanur (V&M) in Kadapa district. It is about 80 Kms from Kadapa, and is located on the Kadapa – Gooty Express Highway. The project site is accessible from Muddanur town by road. Network roads are connected to district head-quarters, Kadapa. The main canal from foreshore of Gandikota dam passes through Mangapatnam, Muddanur, and Uppaluru.
The project commenced on March 01, 2005.
Lingala Project

Construction of CM & CD works, link canal cross regulation and head regulation lift irrigation system, supply and fabrication of hydro mechanical components and erection of vertical gates, stop log gates and its accessories, this project at Lingala, Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh is under execution. The value of the project which is in joint venture with NCC is Rs. 327.35 crores and Maytas Infra’s share is 50%.
Tadipudi Lift Irrigation Scheme

The work is in progress for construction of canal and improvement of distributory system of existing tank and rehabilitation of existing CM & CD covering an ayacut of 1,38,000 acres through Kovvuru, West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. The value of the project is Rs. 178.36 crores.
Indira Sagar Project (Polavaram)

Construction of this canal - excavation of main canal, formation of banks including canal lining and construction of CM & CD works at Polavaram, East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh is in progress. The value of the project which is in joint venture with NCC is Rs. 212.94 crores, and Maytas Infra’s share is 50%.
Thotapalli Barrage Project

Construction of canal - earth work excavation and embankment and construction of CM & CD works, this project at Thotapalli, Vijayanagaram District of Andhra Pradesh is under execution. The value of the project which is in joint venture with NCC is Rs. 170.02 crores, and Maytas Infra’s share is 50%.
Gundlakamma Reservoir Project

A Reservoir including formation of right earth bund and closing of earthen bund, excavation of left and right canals, construction of right head sluice including CM & CD works, and distibutory system, this project at Gundlakamma, Ongole district of Andhra Pradesh is in progress. The value of the project which is in joint venture with NCC is Rs. 212.49 crores, and Maytas Infra’s share is 50%.
Bheema Lift Irrigation Project

A canal project including pumping stations for lifting water from foreshore balancing reservoir this project at Mahaboobnagar District of Andhra Pradesh is in progress. The value of the project which is in joint venture with NEC & NCC is Rs. 391.55 crores, and Maytas Infra’s share is 25 %.
Kumaradhara & Pasupudhara Dams
Maytas Infra secured the contract from Thirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupathi for construction of Kumaradhara & Pasupudhara Dams at Tirumala Hills. The value of the Project whose location is 10 to 12 Kms from Tirumala Hills in the deep forests is Rs. 78.62 crores. These dams are being constructed to provide adequate drinking water for the pilgrims in and around Tirupati and Tirumala. |
