Western UP Tollway Limited
 
 Project Overview

Maytas has taken up the most prestigious Western UP Tollway, involving strengthening, improvement, four-laning, operation and maintenance and tolling of National Highway, NH-58 between Km-52 (Meerut) and Km-131 (Muzaffarnagar) on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis in Uttar Pradesh for a 20 year concession period.

Western UP Tollway Ltd. (WUPTL) is the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) created by the Joint Venture (JV) with Nagarjuna Construction Company Ltd. (NCC) and Gayatri Projects Ltd. (GPL) to undertake this toll-based project.

The project comes as a part of the National Highway Development Programme (NHDP) Phase-3A being undertaken by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), the concessioning authority for the Project. Once completed, the project would provide hassle-free transit between two busy towns in Uttar Pradesh.

 
 Cost and Timeline
 
Project's Financial Closure was in September, 2006 and is expected to become operational in September, 2009. The cost of the project is estimated at Rs. 534 crores.
